Everyone knows how important it is for children to get a good basic education to emphasise the fundamentals of learning.

This is something that ACTS has supported for a number of years and continues to do so. However, we are now also focusing on enabling higher level pupils to continue their education – far too many children are forced to stop after their primary education because of a lack of funding.

ACTS sponsors those children who show potential in their studies to go on and complete secondary education and encourages as many as possible to take a third level course – whether it be of a vocational or academic nature.

ACTS students have taken a wide range of courses over the years and as a result there is huge diversity in their qualifications. From car mechanics to hairdressers, chefs to teachers and social workers to pharmacists, one thing that all of the ACTS students have in common is a desire to work hard and achieve to the best of their ability, with the aim of being able to support themselves and their families in future.
