FAITH SHAHALE Her mother was a single parent when she joined ACTS in 2002 and later passed on. ACTS sponsored her high school education at St. Johns Girls High School. She later joined Memon College in 2007 and successfully completed a certificate in early childhood in 2008.She was lucky to get a job in 2009 at N.A Rahim Nursery Centre as a Teacher. Her goal is to further her Certificate to a Degree in the near future.
CHRISTINE NTHENYA KIILU Nthenya’s parents are peasant farmers. ACTS sponsored her 3rd level education at Mombasa Polytechnic from January 2008 – December 2008 where she attained a Diploma in Secretarial. She was attached at Stephen Oddiaga & Company Advocates for three months. After several months of endless interviews under the harsh sun, she secured a job at Pandya Hospital as a Secretary. She is and will be forever grateful to ACTS as she is now able to pay fees for her brother in form four and hopes to enroll for Business Administration evening classes in the near future. ‘This is a dream come true’……she says
RASHID IMAMU Rashid graduated with a Degree in Bio-Chem at Egerton University. He got his first job at Pharmaceuticals Ltd in Nairobi as a Medical Representative and climbed to the position of a Marketing Manager. Later he resigned and joined the Ministry of Fisheries Development as a Fisheries Officer. Currently he is trying to revive the Research reputation of Kiganjo Trout Fish Hatchery, a Government Fish Firm. He has a great future ahead of him and the sky will be the limit for him.
